Compass Rangers Raise Money for Breast Unit |
|
Cambridge Compass Rangers raised £1100 for the Cambridge Breast Unit at Addenbrooke's by holding a Pink Rose Dinner at Mayfield School as part of their service to the community.
2 of the Rangers were acting as Commis Chefs to Ian Douglas, who kindly gave his time and expertise free of charge in order to make the 4 course dinner for 41 run smoothly. The other 7 Rangers were waitressing after being taught the finer points of the art.
Both Debbie Mould and Angela Douglas, leaders of Cambridge Compass Rangers, were exceedingly proud of the girls as the charity evening was carried off without a hitch and all guests, which included the County and Deputy County Commissioners, were very complimentary of the professionalism and superb standard that the girls managed to acheive.
The Rangers were also able to hold a raffle with many of the prizes being donated by local businesses.
