Airport Day

A very successful Airport Day was held for Brownies in June 2006. 120 Brownies
from all over the county checked in, had their lunch boxes weighed and made
passports before enetering the 'plane' and visiting Kenya and Australia all in
one day! The girls did enough challenges in the course of the day to complete
their World Cultures and World Traveller badges. In Australia they made
Australian jewellery, didgeridoos, and used aboriginal art to make a postcard
that they sent home. In Kenya they made an African mask, had fun (and learnt how
to purify) water. Sadly the cooking activity had to be cancelled owing to the
extremely hot weather, and instead the gilrs played a Kim's game.
